About this course
Milpark's Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a 360-credit degree at NQF level 7 (SAQA ID 61700). It gives a broad foundation in managing organisations and is a good choice if you want a general business degree without the heavy mathematics of a BCom.
The degree has 21 core modules spread over three years:
- Year 1: Foundations to Business Studies, Introduction to Business Management, mathematical and digital skills for business, financial reporting, economics and business law.
- Year 2: business management, leadership, finance, sustainable practice, project management, digital transformation and entrepreneurship.
- Year 3: strategic management, an applied business capstone and specialisation modules.
You can study in one of two online modes: Immersive Online Learning (IO), which is guided and includes scheduled live sessions, small-group work and interactive content, or Distance Learning (DL), which is self-paced and built around textbooks and study guides with optional online resources.
The BBA is also offered with majors in Banking, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management and Public Administration, listed separately. Graduates can go on to postgraduate study such as the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration.

Course intelligence for Bachelor of Business Administration
Data-driven planning insights for this specific course: job market outlook, NSFAS funding, and how competitive admission is likely to be.
Job market outlook
Bachelor of Business Administration doesn’t currently appear on the national scarce-skills list as a Business Analyst. That’s not a red flag on its own, most jobs in South Africa aren’t on that list, it just tracks where employers reported the strongest hiring pressure. Your own results, experience and network will matter more here than national demand trends.
NSFAS funding
NSFAS does not usually fund students at private institutions like Milpark. Ask Milpark directly about its own bursaries or payment plans, and check whether a sector SETA offers funding for this field.
Admission chances
Milpark’s intake and this course’s requirements with its published admission requirements generally leave more room than the most sought-after courses, so you likely have a reasonable window to apply without rushing, though applying early is always the safer bet.
These insights are estimates generated from South Africa’s National List of Occupations in High Demand (DHET, November 2023 draft), NSFAS’s published funding rules, and this university’s general applicant demand. They’re planning guidance, not a guarantee. Always confirm funding and admission specifics directly with Milpark and NSFAS.
