BCom Accounting at Wits:

The choice of courses within the BCom Accounting programme allows you to tailor your degree to meet your career aspirations.

With this degree, you can become a chartered financial analyst (CFA) in the USA or SA, a professional accountant registered with the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA), a management accountant registered with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a certified internal auditor (CIA) or a chartered certified accountant registered with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

A minimum total of 120 credits must be taken from the following courses – provided that you have satisfied the prerequisite courses. In order to qualify for the Bachelor of Commerce in the field of Accounting, it is important to note that Accounting III must be completed.
