  • A National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification with a bachelor’s degree endorsement.
  • Achievement level of at least 4 in:
    • English (home language or first additional language)
    • Mathematics or Technical Mathematics
    • Physical Sciences or Technical Sciences
    • Life Sciences or Agricultural Sciences

Selection Criteria

  • An Admission Point Score (APS) of at least 24 (excluding Life Orientation) is required.
  • Applicants will be invited for a TUT Potential Assessment Test (TUTPTA).
  • Based on TUTPTA results, applicants may be invited for an interview.
  • The final score comprises:
    • APS: 40%
    • TUT Potential Assessment: 20%
    • Interview: 40%
