Empilweni Nursing College Fees for 2024 – 2025 and Application Requirements for Courses Offered (Prospectus)

Applicants are required to have the appropriate combination of recognized NSC (National Senior Certificate) subjects, as well as certain levels of achievement in matric in these subjects, and the required APS (depending on the courses they are applying for).

First of all, ensure you have the following:

  • National senior certificate
  • An equivalent level 4 qualification
  • Successful completion of 2 developmental skills programmes
  • Computer literacy, english communication and mathematical literacy
  • Nursing Science (anatomy and physiology, basic health issues)

  • To qualify to study a Higher Certificate programme, you need to have matriculated with a National Senior Certificate (South African Grade 12 / Matric) with a Diploma / Higher Certificate or Bachelor’s pass.

A Qualified Learner Will Be Able To:

  1. Plan and Prepare: Create a broad-phase learning environment and stimulating activities that cater to the holistic needs of children in both centre-based and non-centre-based settings.
  2. Facilitate and Mediate: Manage all aspects of the daily programme in either a centre-based or non-centre-based setting.
  3. Observe and Assess: Monitor each child’s progress according to their age and developmental stage.
