IIE Diploma in Information Technology in Software Development Course Requirements at IIE Rosebank

Minimum requirements are: NSC - Diploma pass with 30%; NC(V) - Diploma pass with 40%; SC - Endorsement pass with 33.3%. All pathways require a minimum of 30% in the LOLT on NSC/SC(a), or 33.3% on SC, for English proficiency. International applicants require a SAQA Evaluation Certificate showing NSC Level 4 equivalence with at least 40% for English. Alternative access routes include: a cognate Higher/Advanced Certificate (non-cognate qualifications require at least 20% of credits in academic literacy or numeracy); Senate Discretionary Mature Age admission (23+, with three years' relevant work experience; or 45+); Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), considering formal qualifications, informal credentials and relevant work experience; completion of a USAf-approved cognate foundation programme; transfer admission for students with at least 120 credits from the first year of a cognate 3-year diploma; OQSF Level 5 qualifications (minimum 120 credits); and USAf Exemption Certificate holders (pending Office of the Registrar approval).
