- Years 1 and 2: Afrikaans and Dutch, Literary Theory and Linguistics are compulsory (Group A). Students add one language from English, German, French or Sepedi (Group B), and one elective from Philosophy, History, Journalism or Language Practice (Group C).
- Year 3: Afrikaans and Dutch, one advanced language module, and either Literary Theory 3 or Linguistics 3.
The degree develops research, critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills alongside advanced language ability.
