Courses Offered at Milpark Education (Milpark) for 2027

Milpark Education is a private higher education institution that has been educating working adults and school leavers since 1997. Its head office is in Observatory, Cape Town, but almost all teaching happens online, so students study from anywhere in South Africa and beyond. Milpark is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education institution, and its qualifications are accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and registered on the National Qualifications Framework.

Milpark is best known for three things: its SAICA-accredited route to becoming a Chartered Accountant, its AMBA-accredited MBA, and its long history of training people for the financial services industry. Through CA Connect, which is now part of Milpark, it has become one of the largest producers of successful candidates in SAICA's qualifying exams.

Teaching is organised into four schools:
- Business School: the Postgraduate Diplomas in Business Administration and Public Administration, the MBA and the Doctor of Business Administration.
- School of Commerce: the Higher and Advanced Certificates in Management, the Bachelor of Business Administration and a wide range of BCom majors such as marketing, human resources, taxation, economics, digital business, logistics and law.
- School of Financial Services: qualifications in banking, credit, financial planning, investment, short-term insurance and risk management, plus RE1 and RE5 exam support, Class of Business training and CPD.
- School of Professional Accounting: the BCom in Accounting (Chartered Accountancy and Management Accountancy streams), bridging programmes and the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA).

Study modes
- Immersive Online Learning (IO): a guided online experience with scheduled live sessions, small-group activities and interactive content.
- Distance Learning (DL) and Distance Learning Online (DLO): more self-paced study built around textbooks and study guides, with online classes, forums and recordings.
- Short online courses for professional development.
Most undergraduate degrees can be taken on a full load over three years or a half load over six, which suits people who are working.

Many programmes are recognised by professional bodies. Examples include SAICA and CIMA for accounting, the FPI for financial planning, IISA and the CII for insurance, IOBSA for banking, IRMSA for risk management, SABPP for human resources and MASA for marketing. A large number of the financial services qualifications also appear on the FSCA list of recognised qualifications for FAIS fit and proper purposes.

Student support includes a helpdesk for registered students, lecturer consultations, weekly live discussions on many programmes, mentoring and psychosocial support. Milpark is also a partner of the Golden Key International Honour Society.

Fees and funding
Fees are charged per module or per year and are published in a separate fees document for each programme. As a guide, first-year Immersive Online BBA modules cost about R6 000 to R7 000 each in 2026, the 2027 CTA year costs R91 520 upfront, and the MBA (July 2026 intake) costs R239 990 over two years. Textbooks are usually extra. Milpark points students to education loans from Capitec and Nedbank, and an online quote tool helps you estimate the cost of your modules.

How to apply
Applications are made online through the Milpark portal. You choose your qualification, pay the application fee, write an admission test if your programme requires one, and upload your documents. Once accepted, you register for modules and upload proof of payment. Closing dates are shown on each programme page, and late applications are moved to the next intake.
