Grade 12 Required Subjects to study Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Akademia

- At least 60% for Afrikaans, 60% for English and 50% for Mathematics

What you study:
- Year 1: the Law of Persons, Family Law, Introduction to Law, and Afrikaans and English language skills in a legal context, plus three electives from options such as Economics, Business Management, Financial Accounting, Politics, Argumentation, Philosophy and Latin.
- Years 2 to 4: core law modules including the Law of Contract, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, the Law of Evidence, Administrative Law, the Law of Property, the Law of Succession, Labour Law and Legal Philosophy, among others.
The degree aims to produce skilled, confident law graduates with a sound understanding of legal principles and strong language and argument skills.
