About this course
The Diploma in Nursing (R.171) prepares students to work as clinically focused, service-orientated, independent Registered General Nurses. Graduates render nursing care within the legislative framework, in line with the national health needs of South Africa, the planned National Health Insurance and primary healthcare delivery.
The qualification builds decision-making about what falls within and beyond the defined scope of practice, and an understanding of the referral system for anything outside it.
