The diploma has three 40-credit modules:
- Module AD1: Project Management: Leading, Creating, Implementing and Improving (taken first; offered four times a year)

- Module AD3: Supply Chain Quality and Performance Management
AD2 and AD3 are each offered twice a year. Students without a tertiary qualification or formal project management training are advised to complete the foundation module AC alpha before starting.
Cranefield uses technology-enhanced distance learning. Each module has five live online class days on Blackboard Collaborate (09:00 to 12:00 South African time), which are recorded, combined with self-study and team work. Assessment is 20% team assignment and 80% individual examination assignment; you need 50% to pass and 75% for a distinction.
