About this course
The BCom (Financial and Management Accounting) is a full-time campus degree that gives equal weight to financial reporting and management accounting. It is an NQF level 7 qualification of 415 credits (SAQA ID 110807), taught at the Pretoria and Paarl campuses.
It suits school leavers who want an accounting career and prefer daily classes and campus life to distance learning.

- Year 3: Management Accounting 3 and Financial Accounting 3 are compulsory, and students choose three of Organisational Management 2, Financial Management 2, Taxation 2 and Auditing 2.
The electives in the final year let students lean towards tax, audit or financial management. The degree gives 8 of the 16 CIMA exam exemptions on the way to the CGMA designation, a three-year training route to SAIPA membership, and a direct path to CIBA's business accountant designations.
Graduates can continue to the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Accounting or the Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation.
