Courses Offered at IMM Graduate School (IMM) for 2027

IMM Graduate School is a private higher education institution that specialises in marketing, supply chain management and business. Its history goes back to 1948, which makes it one of the oldest names in marketing education in South Africa. The head office and main campus are in Parktown, Johannesburg, and the school serves students across South Africa, the rest of Africa and further afield.

IMM is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education institution (certificate number 2000/HE07/013). It is accredited by the Council on Higher Education, and its qualifications are registered on the National Qualifications Framework. IMM is also accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in the United Kingdom, and its supply chain programmes are recognised by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT International). It belongs to several professional and sector bodies, including the Australian Institute of Marketing, NADEOSA, DEASA and the African Marketing Confederation.

What you can study
Qualifications are grouped into three areas:
- Marketing: Higher Certificate in Marketing, Diploma in Marketing Management, BBA in Marketing Management, BCom in Marketing and Management Science, BCom Honours and BPhil Honours in Marketing Management, Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management and the Master of Philosophy in Marketing.
- Supply chain management: Higher Certificate in Supply Chain Management, BCom in International Supply Chain Management, BCom Honours in Supply Chain Management and the Master of Commerce in Supply Chain Management (a research degree registered in 2025).
- Business: Higher Certificate in Project Management.
Many programmes are designed as a ladder, so you can start with a higher certificate and progress to a degree, honours and eventually a master's.

Study modes
IMM describes its approach as student-centred and flexible. There are two main options:
- Blended Hybrid learning, which combines online study with optional face-to-face or live virtual classes.
- Distance learning, which lets you study fully at your own pace.
Both use IMM's eLearn platform, which provides study material, interactive content, live and recorded lectures, discussion forums and access to support staff. Several undergraduate programmes can be taken full-time or part-time.

Graduation ceremonies are held in Gauteng, the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Zimbabwe.

Student support
Support includes academic help and study guides, a student portal, wellness support and help from staff at the student support centres.

Fees and funding
Fees are charged per module and differ for South African and other African students. The 2026 South African schedule has three price levels (Distance, Distance Plus and Blended Hybrid): for example, a degree module costs R6 420 on Distance and R13 090 on Blended Hybrid, and a postgraduate theory module R10 100 to R16 770, plus a once-off enrolment fee of R2 970 and semester admin fees. You can pay upfront before a module starts, or in instalments with a deposit before the start and the balance during the semester. IMM does not accept NSFAS funding, but it points students to alternative funding through Student Hero.

How to apply
Apply online on the IMM website. Undergraduate applicants need a matric certificate or equivalent, and adults over 23 without a matric may be considered through Recognition of Prior Learning. Postgraduate applicants submit a postgraduate application form, certified certificates, a CV and a motivational letter, and may be invited to an interview.
